I’ll buy that for $250?

We have this wonderful service at our current apartment which is a resident posting list. There are 360ish units in the building and you can sell stuff and ask for stuff. We have hardly used it but we are about to as we get ready to move out and sell some stuff so we will be taking advantage of it one last time.

Unknown-3This morning I looked at the new posts and noticed two things. There was a nice media center from West Elm for $200. Probably originally about $750. We might need something like that at our new place. Then I noticed a used pair of Chanel sunglasses for $275. Something struck me as so upside down that we could buy a piece of furniture for less than a pair of used sunglasses. With all due respect to my fashionable wife I say that is a bit absurd. These are my random thoughts for the morning.

It also puts me in the unique position of having back to back posts about glasses. Maybe that means I should make an eye doctor appointment. On to the business of packing and moving.

About Jim Herbert

I've been wanting to write my whole life. By age 45 it had amounted to nothing more than a storage locker of half full journals and a lot of unfulfilled dreams. Then Paris in the fall of 2011 happened. It was the catalyst I needed to consistently blog. At first I had a hard time hitting the publish button, but now two blog sites and over 300 posts later I'm hitting my stride. I'm also a budding speech writer. I've recently been heavily involved in the Chicago Storytelling scene and have also won the Chicago Toastmasters Area 66 International Speech Contest. Check out our website at www.emergingintojoy.com for more details about the amazing things that are happening in my life. A book or two are nearing completion. With another Paris trip on tap for Easter of 2015 I can only imagine that there are Infinite Possibilities on the horizon!!!
